Integrative Solutions Consulting is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Inclusion is at the heart of our mission of whole-child, whole-family, whole-community wellness, and that extends to our digital presence. This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard commonly referenced for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Accessibility Features of This Website

Keyboard Navigation

• Every feature of the site, including the menu, the frequently asked questions, and the contact form, can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
• A "Skip to main content" link appears as the first item when navigating by keyboard, allowing visitors to bypass the header.
• A clear, high-contrast focus outline shows which element is active at all times.
• In-page links account for the fixed header, so sections are never hidden behind it.

Screen Reader Support

• The site uses semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a logical heading structure so screen reader users can move through the page efficiently.
• Images have text alternatives; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology so they do not create noise.
• The mobile menu button reports whether the menu is open or closed.
• Contact form messages are announced automatically: errors are read aloud when they appear, each field describes its own error, and the confirmation message is announced on success.
• The page language is declared so screen readers use correct pronunciation.

Visual Design

• All text colors meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for standard text, and interactive component boundaries meet the 3:1 non-text requirement. Every color combination on the site has been measured and verified.
• Text can be resized up to 200 percent and the page can be zoomed freely; pinch-to-zoom is never blocked.
• The layout adapts to any screen size, from phones to large desktop displays, without loss of content or function.
• Information is never conveyed by color alone.

Motion and Interaction

• The site honors the "reduced motion" setting in your device or browser: animations and smooth scrolling are disabled for visitors who prefer less movement.
• Forms have visible labels on every field, and nothing on the site relies on hover alone, moves unexpectedly, or plays automatically.
• There are no flashing elements, time limits, or audio that plays on its own.

How We Test

This site is checked with automated WCAG 2 AA scanning tools (such as pa11y) across every page, and every color combination is verified against the WCAG contrast formula. Automated checks are combined with code-level review of keyboard access, form behavior, and screen reader semantics. Manual review with assistive technology is part of our ongoing accessibility work, and the site is re-checked whenever content or design changes.

Known Limitations

We aim for full conformance, but accessibility is an ongoing effort. If any part of this site is updated, we review the changes against the same standards. If you discover something we have missed, we genuinely want to know.
